To commemorate Earth Day, the Elmwood Park Zoo presents: Sharks, Stingrays and Seashells on Friday, April 22 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This touchable, interactive exhibit features shark and stingray artifacts, amazing seashells and much more. Children will experience the beauty of these creatures and learn about their dangers just in time for the summer season. There will be special Earth Day funpacks for all! The event takes place at Plymouth Meeting Mall’s Center Court area near Auntie Anne’s Pretzels.
If you miss the monthly exhibit or simply want to see a dinosaur claw or a mammoth molar, be sure to stop by the new Elmwood Park Zoo Outpost located on the upper level near Bertucci’s. The Outpost is a natural history museum complete with exotic artifacts, some touchable, books and animal toys. The Zoo Outpost is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. (Hours are subject to change.)
