A full day of family fun provided by the Schuylkill Canal Association for visitors of all ages from the community to enjoy. A variety of activities will be offered including but not limited to a 5.5-mile trail run, water sports and competitions, music, FREE kids crafts and games, junior angler fishing derby, business expo, craft and flea market, boat demos and lots of food. The Locktender’s House is open all day as various street performers of 19th/early 20th century theatre entertain guests throughout the grounds.

“Texting in 1900” – Communications without Telephones

Visit the 1900s History Center to learn how the telegraph was used to send messages much like texting today, and how standardized time came about. Try your hand at “texting” using the Morse Code and our telegraph sets.
All ages; suggested donation $2 per person.
