Alright, PA Moms…I need your help! It’s my turn to ask the question, and I’d love your thoughts and advice.
I have a client who is new to PA. She is a stay-at-home mother of two kids, ages 2 and 8. She is feeling isolated and lonely and finds she stays at home a lot with her youngest and gets “cabin fever.” She gets anxious when faced with new social situations and wants to meet people but isn’t interested in the traditional play-group or mommy-and-me classes I’ve recommended. She also says she’s intimidated by the prospect of finding fun places to take her kids in a new state.
She agrees that she needs to get out more, enjoy the amazing experiences PA has to offer and build a bigger social circle. What are your favorite places to take your kids? Places that bring YOU and your kids joy? (I suggested the Struble Trail and Highland Orchards here in Chester County). How did you meet your friends? How have you built deep connections with other women?
I’d love to hear your advice and stories about how you enrich yourself and build friendships. Please post in the comments section below. We all know you won’t be only helping my client….you’ll be helping many readers across the state who are in her exact same boat. Thanks in advance!
