In October, Plymouth Meeting Mall hosts a variety of events for all members of the family. From the brand new Kids’ Klub with Judy Tudy the Clown to the popular Fall Festival, there is something for everyone.
Brand New Kids’ Klub!
October 5, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This fall, families with pre-school aged children are invited to a special place where imaginations run wild— Plymouth Meeting Mall’s brand new Kids’ Klub! The free interactive Kids’ Klub, which engages kids cognitively and creatively, debuts Wednesday, October 5 at 11 a.m. in Center Court with Judy Tudy the Mommy Clown! Known for her enchanting shows which combine magic and storytelling, kids of all ages will have an awesome adventure with play-a-long fun!
The Kids’ Klub will continue to take place on the first Wednesday of each month with a new, exciting theme. Also, Kids’ Klub members receive exclusive discounts at participating mall retailers every Wednesday, fun gifts, and advance details about upcoming family-friendly mall events.
Elmwood Park Zoo Presents “Cabinet of Curiosities”
October 9, 12 – 4 p.m.
Elmwood Park Zoo teaches children and area residents about the wonders of strange and weird animals during the interactive kid’s event at Plymouth Meeting Mall on October 9 from 12 – 4 p.m. Kids meet live animals and see up close and personal amazing animal artifacts from around the world while learning about curious creatures. Also, children who stop by the event will receive a free zoo funpack.
The event takes place in the mall’s Center Court near Auntie Anne’s Pretzels. If you miss the exhibit or simply want to see a dinosaur claw or a mammoth molar, be sure to stop by the new Elmwood Park Zoo Outpost located on the upper level near Bertucci’s. The Outpost is a natural history museum complete with exotic artifacts, some touchable, books and animal toys. The Zoo Outpost hours vary.
Montgomery County Literacy Network’s Annual Spelling Bee
October 25, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Plymouth Meeting Mall hosts the 17th Annual Corporate Spelling Bee on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Stop by the mall’s Center Court to cheer on area companies and organizations as they compete with words used in the National Scripps Spelling Bee. All proceeds will benefit the Montgomery County Literacy Network to assist adults with costs associated with taking the G.E.D. test.
October 29, 3 – 6 p.m.
Celebrate the changing of the seasons with family fun at Plymouth Meeting Mall’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. in Center Court. From interactive games to pumpkin decorating, there will be several festive activities for children of all ages in addition to arts and crafts, prizes and more. The South Philly Vikings of the Philadelphia Mummers will have a special craft and costume station, and the Eagles Pep Band will be strolling around inside and outside on the Plazas. The Fall Festival is free and open to the public.
