The school year has just started, but I’m already thinking about how quickly the fall season will come and go, and how soon the holidays will be upon us. I’m still a bit behind with figuring out what the boys will be for Halloween, but I know that since I’m hosting Thanksgiving AND Christmas dinner at our house, I need to be on the ball with getting our holiday cards in order this year. After all, there is less than 100 days until Christmas and we all know how fast those days can fly by!
I remember a very frantic Christmas week last year when I was wondering if I would even have the time to get them out. I made a promise that I would not do the same this year. I will not be in a mad rush, finding whatever photo of the boys would fit regardless if I like it or not. I will revert back to my old, pre-kids self and plan this out a little bit this year. So, I’m already checking out the holiday line up at Tiny Prints.
I’ve got things narrowed down to two selections. I’m one of those parents that puts the kids on the card and leaves herself out. Maybe another year we’ll do a group shot; but with young boys that do not like to sit still, I’m not ready to subject myself to that stress just now. So, friends and family will have to make due with seeing my little stinkers, um, angels, on the card.
I’m a sucker for all things green, so I love the green and red tartan design on the Woody Tartan: Tomato flat card. If I could get the boys to pose together, I like the option of having the three photos with one of them in the middle and then single shots on either side. It’s clean, crisp and simple. I also like that the back of the card is not blank, but has a bit of the design at the bottom – nice touch!
I think the last 3 years I’ve sent out a photo card that was blue with snowflakes. It seems to be my thing. Well, this year the one that stood out to me was the Snowing Happiness folded card in Red. This card does the two photo design on the cover nicely and, again, if I’m brave enough I can put a family photo on the inside. Eek!
I’d love to hear what YOU think… which one should I select?
