Disclosure: I was provided a Tottigo Pack ‘n Potty, Pee-kaboo Potty Stickers and Hipoglos diaper cream to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
I remember when my little sister Katie was potty training. When it came time to sit on the potty, Katie became a hysterical, raging, demonic toddler just shy of foaming at the mouth. She would scream, hit, and kick if she came within 10 feet of a potty. I was simply a bystander and I seem to have blocked a lot of the memories out, so I’m not entirely sure how my mom handled it, but I’m happy to report that my sister is now an amazing young woman who is, in fact, potty trained. PHEW. Needless to say, I braced myself for the day I’d need to start potty training my daughter. Luckily, my daughter embraced potty training with a little more ease than her aunt and things went rather smoothly. We did, however, have the help of some amazing products.
Pee-kaboo Reusable Potty Stickers
Pee-kaboo Reusable Potty Stickers are a potty training game changer. These little gems stick to the basin of the potty, and when your little one goes to the bathroom – voila! A magical image appears on the sticker. Each sticker can be reused for up to 6 weeks. Pee-kaboo Potty Stickers are sold in sets of two and are available in two different themes: Let’s Roll and Springtime. My daughter is fascinated by all things transportation, so she chose the ‘Let’s Roll’ sticker set. I can’t tell you how thrilled she was the first time the choo choo appeared in the bottom of her potty. Not only does the Pee-kaboo sticker serve as a reward for going in the potty, it’s also a great incentive to use the potty again next time. I love that the stickers are reusable and durable. They stick well to the bottom of my daughter’s potty so I don’t have to fish anything out of the big potty post clean-up. Pee-kaboo Potty stickers are an easy way to motivate your child to use the potty, and if everything goes smoothly, a set of potty stickers will last for the duration of potty training. These stickers were enormously helpful for us, and I will definitely be purchasing more when it’s time to potty train my son!
Tottigo Pack ‘n Potty
When we’re on the go (which is often), it’s sometimes tough to maintain potty training momentum. Finding a bathroom can be tough, let alone a clean one. That’s why we bring our Tottigo Pack ‘n Potty everywhere we go! This lightweight and super portable travel potty seat is pretty magical. The built-in carry bag (with straps!) makes the Pack ‘n Potty super easy to tote around AND it converts to a seat cover to ensure that you don’t ever come in direct contact with a yucky public potty. Simply grip the potty’s handle inside the bag, flip the carry bag inside out and whoosh! An extra cushy handled potty seat complete with waterproof liner that covers all surfaces of the public toilet! The liner also includes a zippered wet/dry pocked for keeping your potty time essentials. I can’t tell you how helpful the Pack n’ Potty has been for us! We take it on road trips, to Grandma’s house, restaurants….you name it. There is nothing stopping my daughter from going when she needs to go, no matter where we are! My daughter can be comfy on the soft potty seat, and I can be confident that none of us have to touch anything yucky. When we get home, I detach the antimicrobial cloth from the seat, throw it in the wash and call it a day. The Pack ‘n Potty was a lifesaver during potty training, and a must have for post-potty training bathroom breaks as well. I can’t recommend this product enough for moms of currently potty training or fully potty trained toddlers! In my opinion, the Pack ‘n Potty is definitely a necessity.
A common perception is that diaper rash ends when diapers are no longer being used. Not true. Even when your little one is out of diapers, they still may wear pull ups at night or come in contact with moisture while using the potty. Needless to say, diaper rash can still be an issue, and a fantastic diaper cream is an absolute must. I recently had the opportunity to try out Hipoglos Skin Protectant, and boy was I impressed! Originally from Latin America, this diaper cream only recently made its way to the US and is now soothing the bottoms of babies coast to coast. This fabulous cream goes on smoothly, wipes clean, soothes instantly and treats quickly. This diaper cream and skin protectant worked instantly on both of my children to soothe their irritated skin, and also worked wonders as a preventative measure against future diaper rashes. I was very impressed with its effectiveness. I also appreciated its mild fragrance, which is a welcome change to many of the overly medicinal smelling rash creams on the market. I’m thrilled Hipoglos is now available in the United States, and will most definitely be a regular user of this product! Hipoglos is available at Walgreens and Amazon.
