If you haven’t already added the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit at The Academy of Natural Sciences to your summer bucket list, do it now! After a highly successful run at the Academy in 2013, Dinosaurs Unearthed is back and better than ever. From the life size animatronic dinos on the parkway outside the museum (Jurassic Parkway, anyone?) to the incredibly realistic and very hands-on exhibit inside, you and your family will love every aspect of this prehistoric experience.
Dinosaurs Unearthed features a collection of highly realistic, scientifically accurate animatronic dinosaurs as well as authentic dinosaur bones, teeth, eggs and my kids’ favorite – fossilized dino poop. This amazing exhibit isn’t just for looking, either. Get up close and personal with your favorite prehistoric creatures through hands-on learning stations places throughout the exhibit, as well as an interactive weight station that calculates how many of YOU it would take to equal the weight of a dinosaur. Visitors are also able to control several of the dinosaurs themselves, making them roar, blink, turn, strike and move with the simple press of a button.
Following in the grand tradition of the Academy’s other exhibits, Dinosaurs Unearthed provides an extraordinary opportunity for children and adults alike to learn about these extraordinary creatures in a unique and interactive way.
Dinosaurs Unearthed runs through January 17, 2017. Don’t miss your chance to check out this fantastic exhibit!
