Disclaimer: I was provided a Bambino Mio Miosolo diaper to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% my own.
When my husband and I found out we were expecting identical twins, we knew we’d likely be buying diapers by the truckload. We had cloth diapered my older children when they were younger, and knew that with two more on the way cloth diapering was the most cost effective solution.
When we first made the switch with our older kids several years ago, I didn’t really know anything about the wonderful world of cloth diapering. Once I got over the mental hump of spending a lot more ‘hands on’ time with my children’s poop, I realized I had a great deal to learn about that new eco-friendly lifestyle. Over time cloth diapering can cut costs, but there is a large initial investment. I didn’t want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars only to find out I didn’t like the diapers I’d chosen, or that cloth diapering just wasn’t for us. The world of cloth diapering can be a tough road to navigate, and contradictory information is abundant. After exhaustive research and even a few phone calls to various companies, I finally settled on the type of cloth diaper I thought would work best for our family. I decided to try different brands to start and then add to our stockpile once we were certain we wanted to fully commit.
As apprehensive as I was about certain aspects (mainly the poop aspect), I quickly learned that my handy dandy diaper sprayer did most of the dirty work and the rest wasn’t all that bad. Within a few days, I was hooked on cloth diapering and there was no turning back. Not only are the green aspects of cloth diapers fantastic, but not spending a hundred bucks on disposables every month is also reason to celebrate. To top it off, kids look freaking adorable in colorful cloth diapers.
Flash forward a few years and our little twin girls have arrived, and cloth diapering is once again part of our lives. While I really liked the popular brand of cloth diaper that I had previously used with my other kiddos, I did find that on rare occasions leaking was an issue. Luckily, I discovered a new brand of cloth diapers that touted rave reviews. When my Bambino Mio Miosolo trial diaper arrived for this review, I was instantly impressed. Right away I noticed how soft the diaper was, as well as how well made it appeared to be. The all-in-one onesize diaper is designed for babies 8 pounds or larger, and can be adjusted for size using snaps. Velcro tabs secure the diaper just like a disposable, and the super absorbent inner core keep moisture away from baby’s bottom. Not only is the outer layer adorable, but it’s stretchy and waterproof for added comfort and mobility. The inner core is designed to keep baby’s bottom extra dry during use, and the pull tab system makes laundering – and drying – a total breeze. So far, I’ve been blown away by the effectiveness of this diaper at keeping moisture and mess contained. With our kiddos in Bambino Mio, I can be totally confident that we won’t have a leaking issue. Additionally, soiled diapers can be rolled up and secured into a compact, mess-free little package, which makes clean up easy when we’re on the go. I am SO HAPPY to now have this awesome diaper in our rotation, and I fully intend to stock up on more…in every. single. adorable. pattern. All Bambino Mio diapers are available in a huge variety of adorable patterns and colors. Seriously, you’ll want all of them.
