Sarah: Founder & Owner, Philly Burb Moms
Sarah is a long time resident of Chester County, mom of 2 and self proclaimed “blog-a-holic”.
After a long career in sales & finance management, Sarah “retired” from the business world to stay at home with her children. She started blogging in 2007 as a way to stay connected to family and friends spread out throughout the U.S.
Merging her new life of “Mommyhood” with her sales expertise, Sarah launched Chester County Moms in the summer of 2008.
The site expanded to 2 other sites, Delaware County Moms and Montgomery County Moms. These 3 sister sites comprise the Philly Burb Mom blogs: a hyperlocal resource for women living in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties.
On the Philly Burb Mom blogs, local moms can find information on local events, activities, products, and fun places to go with their kiddos. They showcase recipes, crafts, parenting tips and more.
Sarah is a social Media Consultant, member of Philly Social Media Moms, and a Brand Ambassador for The View, Backyard Discovery, and Aquafina.
When not blogging, Sarah enjoys crafting, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband, children, and their dog “Big Doggie”. Sarah does not enjoy laundry, gardening, cleaning or rude people.
Nicole: Community Manager for Montgomery County Moms
I’m a former engineer who finally found my true loves in graphic design and technology. I own Voilà! Customs by Nicole and Techmomogy Designs which combined offer both print and web design. I started Techmomogy in 2010 in an effort to bring more knowledge of the ever evolving tech world to parents and especially moms.
I’m an entrepreneur, blogger, social media manager, and most importantly, a mom of 2 wonderful little boys (Cole & Dean) and wife to a man quite possibly as dorky as I am. Maybe. He is the brilliant mind behind our name for which I am extremely grateful.
I talk like everyone knows what I’m saying but it turns out they usually don’t. It’s one of the reasons I started Techmomogy, to teach others about what they can do with their gadgets and computers. I may need a reminder to explain more, so please call me out if I get too geeky.
As a DIY wannabe, I’ve started many projects and completed a lot too. But I dream of HGTVing my life on a daily basis and have the Pinterest boards to prove it. Follow along on our DIY journey at our new blog!
Emily: Contributor for Montgomery County Moms
Emily K is an impulsive Southern gal who moved to Philadelphia on a whim. After 7 years in television production, she left the industry to launch her party planning business, Two Blue Balloons. Emily believes that creativity is the key to happiness and that idle hands often find themselves cramming chocolate into open mouths, namely her own. She is mother to two beautiful and highly entertaining children, wife to a handsome and endlessly supportive civil engineer, and hopes to one day fulfill her dream of being the singing voice of a Disney Princess.
